I get extremely excited for these monthly shipments. This one included the standard monthly mail, an impulse Gilt purchase, and my current magazines.
I savor the magazines and only read a couple pages at a time to make them last longer. Luckily I AM GOING TO AMERICA AT THE END OF THE MONTH! I buy obscene amounts of magazines when I arrive to catch up on style and news.
A delicious and random creation was made in the kitchen. I also made Froached Eggs three times.
I baked a lot of cupcakes.
Consequently, lots of icing was consumed. Lennie saw me making it and asked, "There’s butter in icing?" Um, Duh. What did he think it was made of?
Saturday night I was all hyped up to wake up early and run outside. Sunday morning, I had a change of plans. I stayed in my bathrobe until 1PM and it was glorious.
Then I got my life back on track and did an easy paced run on the treadmill, keeping the speed between 10.2-11.0. I watched Modern Family and Cake Boss and tricked myself into doing an hour and 20 mins. For some unknown reason, 40 minutes is a super big mental mark for me, if I can get past that, I am golden.
Total Run: 13.6 Km - approximately 8.5 miles
This deserved a fist pump because I have not been doing long runs. Next week I am going to aim for a weekend long run of 1 hour, 30 mins. I usually plan a workout according to distance, but mentally its easier for me to just do time. I trained for my first half marathon with workouts that referenced time and I think I prefer it to distance.
