What I Ate Wednesday

Peas and Crayons

My eats from yesterday…

I started off with oat bran and almond butter. I probably have been eating this once a day for the past week. (I bought the Bob’s Red Mill brand of oat bran and it seems to have more calories than the other one I used to buy from the whole food bulk bin. How does that happen? I thought it was a whole food?) I made this oat bran with almond milk, pumpkin pie spice, one egg white, stevia, and salt and added a blob of that Barney Butter Crunchy Almond Butter that I got from Vitacost.

Lunch was leftover salad from the previous night’s dinner. I added some cottage cheese, pear, and avocado to jazz it up. I ate out of the container because I’m lazy.
Between lunch and dinner was pretty scary.

The ‘Spooky Snacks’ is right on target because I ate some shocking things between lunch and dinner. Around 3ish I had some of that Garrett’s carmel crisp popcorn that was in our snack drawer. I ate the last of it to ensure it wouldn’t tempt me again (that makes sense, right?). I went to a photography class that was from 5-8 and started to get and tired around 6:30. I went in search of coffee during a break, but had no luck, so I took a Diet Coke to the face. I used to have a bit of obsession with the stuff, but now I only have it on occasion (maybe once every 2 weeks?). I also went through my purse in search of a snack and found this dark chocolate mini and a spearmint. I think I was saving it for an emergency…
The class was 5 million stops away on the train, and I knew I was going to get home late. I texted with my husband while riding the train we decided to meet for Thai food at Star of Siam

We started with vegetarian spring rolls, and then enjoyed tofu pad thai & Thai green curry with eggplant, peas, and tofu. We had major leftovers and will be devoured for lunch today…

Since it’s Halloween….What’s your favorite candy? My building is doing trick-or-treating all urban style and I need to go stock up on candy. I really hope kids come or it will be me, sitting by the door eating it all.

My cousin had her rehearsal dinner at Star of Siam. Their food is so good! I miss having a Thai restaurant in close proximity. Oh the problems with suburb living…

My favorite candy is Sour Patch Kids and Swedish Fish. The bags of Halloween candy that carry both were pretty much made for me.

We just got the Snickers Mixed Bag for my little sister’s 16th birthday party, it was FANTASTIC! Snickers classic, Snickers almond AND the crown jewel, Snickers Peanut Butter.

Personally, I like a gummy treat. Maybe some sour gummy worms or those gummy watermelons. Mmmm.

I think your meals were NOT scary enough.

I have gone through SERIOUS phases with Diet Coke. We had free reign over the soda machine at my old office, so I was hitting it up almost every day for a while. Luckily, now I’ve scaled back and maybe only have it once every couple of weeks when I need a little burst. Probably for the best…

Happy Halloween! My favorite fun size candy was always 100 Grands. Who am I kidding? It still is…

At least it was dark chocolate…it’s fine. Barely even counts. My favorite candy lately is plain m&ms and I used to hate them! So weird.

I used to be a huge diet coke addict too. It was pretty disgusting! I ended up cutting it out completely though about a year ago though.

My favorite candy has always been reeses cups. They have the perfect ratio of peanut butter and chocolate.

Star of Siam was my first introduction to Thai food! I’ve never been there since (I have an exceptionally low spicy food tolerance–mild salsa is about as hot as I can go–so I’m kind of limited when it comes to Thai menus), but I really enjoyed it the time I was there.

Take 5 bars are my favorite candy of all time since they’re everything good about candy smashed into one glorious bar, but I’m also a huge Reese’s and M&Ms fan. I never considered whether or not my building is doing trick-or-treating…hmm. Things to figure out before tonight…haha.

Great eats. I love Thai food! Diet coke used to be a vice of mine for a couple of months. Luckily I haven’t had one in months, almost a year maybe!

Your snack-age is right up my alley! I’m def a dark choc, diet coke and popcorn kind of girl. I too have cut back majorly with the diet coke though. I only drink it once a week at most now.

Oat bran – reminds me so much of my childhood! Thank you for the reminder of how good it can be. :)

Delicious! this kind of food are really tempting, because of its taste that will really satisfy our tongue, but then to much of it will cost disease to our body
