While we're talking about this outfit, I just wanted to give a shout out to Spanx tights. I discovered them a while back and I haven't looked back. Not only do they give you a smooth silhouette under something form-fitting like a sweater dress, but they are the most durable tights I have ever owned. They are 100% worth the $28 dollars since mine have lasted several seasons without any runs or tears. Thick tights = warm tights.
Black, grey, brown...apparently anything goes when you are cold. Does that black jacket look familiar? It's one of the best bargains I've landed at 86% off!
I've also got some good use out of that cashmere tee I snagged in Lynchburg. I assume your supposed to wear it on its own, but the whole idea of the warmth of cashmere without sleeves boggles my mind, so I layer it.
In other fashion news, I went from owning one leopard shirt to three in the past week.

Spanx tights are THE best and I can no longer wear others. I buy two pair every season and they wash so well that they last forever (unless my stupid desk snags them like they did in November, grr!). You can sometimes get them 20%-25% off at Lord and Taylor (I know the one in Chicago closed, but may be avail online.).
I have that same JCrew black jacket. I don't get to wear it much in San Diego though. Your brown boots are super cute - what brand are they? I've been on the hunt for cute brown boots for months.

Your sweater dress outfit is too cute! I'm going to have to check out the Spanx tights. So many tights give me a weird muffin top. It would be great if those didn't. As for colors, I have black, gray and brown. I need to get navy.
There's a thrift store near me that has crazy cheap prices. My best bargains there include a peach-colored cardigan for $.33 and a J. Crew jacket for $1.30. I've gotten brand-name jeans there for less than $.50, too.

Hey Jana, I actually scored these boots as hand me downs from my MIL. They are Gucci and at least five years old. I don't even want to know how much they cost new, but they are serious quality. Have you checked out Zappos? They have some great deals on boots right now.

I used to have a snaggy thing under my desk and I covered it with that sticky putty. It worked....try it.

I stick to black and navy tights but like to get them with fun patterns.
I bought a beautiful pair of Kenneth Cole boots at TJ Maxx on super-clearance.
I usually stick to black and grey tights, but get them in fun patterns! I got really cute herringbone grey ones and black polka dot ones from Banana this year that I love. I do have a pair of burgundy tights that surprisingly go with a lot!
My best bargin lately (I don't shop often) was a Kate Spade wallet on cyber Monday for $78. It was originally over $200!
I also LOVE Spanx tights. They are the best.
