Scenes from Christmas

Happy New Year! I'm back in Chicago and ready to take on 2013...

Since I am playing catch up, I'm going to give you a little peek at our Mauritius Christmas. We spent Christmas Eve at Four Season's Aquapazza restaurant and had Christmas morning brunch at our villa. We woke up to lots of rain, so it was a perfect morning to stay inside and chill with family.

Don't worry, we rocked a mini Christmas tree...

We got word from Santa that our niece was a big Rapunzel fan, so we made sure to stock up on some Disney store essentials.

Island style Christmas brunch.

Apparently I wasn't in a proper state of mind in my Christmas shopping and purchased a Nerf-ish Toy Story gun shooting apparatus for our nephew. Good thing we had safety googles.

Nothing says Christmas like Nutella.

A low key brunch in flip flops, lots of family, and tropical holiday cheer. It may not be a typical Christmas, but it was perfection.

Have you ever had a non-traditional Christmas?
Favorite tropical fruit? Lychees and coconut
