Another Apartment Update

It's been like 6 months since we've moved into our apartment and I'm still figuring things out. We add things here and there, and s-l-o-w-l-y it's coming together. The latest additions...

bar tray will soon be styled!
Ghost chairs! We have a fantastic view, so we love how these chairs just disappear, and add chic and modern touch.

We use them at our dining table, but they also work great with our living room furniture if we need additional seating.

I was reading a decor book from the library (my life is wild!) and it suggested putting a mirror facing a beautiful view for additional light and glimpses of the money shot. I found this beautiful beveled mirror at Home Depot (!!!!) and hung it in our bedroom facing the windowed wall.

I am now on the lookout some a console table or narrow server to put underneath.

I don't have a lot of color in my house, but I wanted the guest bathroom to be a little bit colorful and playful.
Shower Curtain, Target. Preserved Boxwood, Flora Decor. Black Urns, Jamali Garden (love this site!)
My next project is getting some art/color/photo on the wall. I have done our wedding photos in our bedroom, but now I want to try a bit of a gallery wall in the guest bathroom. Etsy has some amazing art that is affordable and gorgeous!

Can I get a round of applause for Pinterest? That place is full of inspiration and tutorials. If you are interested in the look/feel of what I am going for, I have a board called 'Chicago Apartment' and 'Guest Loo" on Pinterest. You will see some of the art options I am looking at.

right now we're living with my parents (I will be so happy when I no longer have/get to say that) so most of our decor is packed away. plus we didn't really have a lot of fancy thing. however, after my grandpa passed away, I was able to get his Grandfather clock. I love it and can't wait to have my own home to put it in! I also got his piano. It's not really worth anything, it's easily 50-60 years old and probably wasn't very high-end when they got it, but he played it, my mom played it, etc.

I love the bathroom! I am so horribly creative especially when it comes to decorating. My favorite item is our basement couch, its so comfy and perfect for studying on!

You have some mighty fine pieces, and you will really enjoy it when you have your own place. Nothing makes your more appreciative than waiting and working for something you REALLY want.

I love how you add simple pieces to your home decor to make it look astounding! Good job! Renters don't really have to buy new decors or furniture. All they need is use strategically what they already have or make their own. I would do the same at my Ann Arbor apartments.
