I don't want to run

Hey honesty.

I have a post started called "Extra Awesome Weekend" (I stand by that claim), but RIGHT NOW, I don't want to go on my run. I have 12 miles on my training schedule and I feel like bagging it. 12 miles. Isn't that like 2 hours? Exactly.

I'm waiting for my Garmin to charge...

I had an amazing night...but it didn't set the tone for waking up early, feeling fresh and embarking on 12 miles.

Look at me...I was trying to hydrate.

The footwear? Also not the best run prep.

I have lots of excuses...  (including some logic that skipping a run will save my blow out and save me money), but I'm doing my best to muster some motivation.

Sooo I love your blog but have yet to comment... but I had a very similar morning yesterday (a little too much Veuve on Friday night) and the LAST thing I wanted to do was get up and work out (had a spin class with a $15 cancellation fee if I didn't show)... and I just did it and I felt SO much better all day long. Tell yourself you'll stick it out for 3 miles, and re-evaluate. Then reward yourself with brunch. I promise you'll go longer :)

Sometimes your runs aren't going to be amazing. But it's good practice for the parts in a marathon where you're not going to feel awesome. You'll feel better when you're done, and you'll be able to pull back on this experience! (and learn what is helpful for when you're not at your 100% and you're on a run!)

LOVE your fancy sandals and the cutie pic of you and your husband. You two a such a beautiful couple!
The other commenters are so encouraging! I'd say - take a day off & enjoy yourself. That's what I did yesterday and don't regret it at all :)
